Fees
If you are under 19 on 31st August in the academic year that you begin your course and are a home or EU student, you do not pay any fees for a course you start in September. A ‘home’ student usually means a British National or someone with indefinite or exceptional leave to remain and who has been living in the UK for at least 3 years prior to the beginning of their course (excluding any temporary absences). To check your status, please contact the Academy’s Admission Team on 020 7307 2345.
If you are 19 or over, on 31st August in the academic year that you begin your course you may be liable to pay tuition fees. If you are receiving certain benefits or meet other specific criteria you may be entitled to a concessionary fee or free tuition.
Cost Implications and Fees
Tuition fees are payable for each year of the course. In 2010/2011 fees are as follows:
Level 2 Diploma in Fashion Retail
• Home/EU students: £1450
• International students: £7300
Level 3 Diploma in Fashion Retail
• Home/EU students: £1450
• International students: £7300
Level 4 Diploma in Visual Merchandising
• Home/EU students: £1450
• International students: £7300
Level 4 Diploma in Buying & Merchandising
• Home/EU students: £1450
• International students: £7300
Funding
EMA: If you are aged 16-18 and from a family with a joint income less than £30,810 then you can claim up to £30 per week from this scheme. Further details are available from the Academy or from the EMA website:

Adult Learning Grant (ALG): Is similar to EMA. However, to qualify, you must be undertaking your first level 2 or first level 3 qualification. For further details of this scheme please visit:

Learner Support Funds
The Academy receives funding from the Learning and Skills Council to provide a safety net for students from low-income households wishing to remain in education. Priority groups for learner support funds include: students with disabilities and/ or learning difficulties, those leaving care, probationers, students reaching 19 and losing benefits during their courses.
