Level 3 Diploma in Fashion Retail

The programme for the Level 3 Diploma is aimed at a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds, including those looking for a change in direction in their career.  The Level 3 Diploma incorporates a combination of teaching from leading people within the retail industry, with a  work placement programme, to ensure you are fully equipped to enter the fashion retail industry.

For entry to the Level 3 Diploma, you should:

  • have 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (Grades A–C)
  • have equivalent qualifications or professional experience
  • display aptitude and enthusiasm for fashion retail
  • possess literacy, Maths & ICT Skills
  • be at least 17 by 1st September in the year of entry
  • show motivation to succeed on the course.

Selection Process
To assess your suitability for the Level 3 Diploma course, the selection process will include an interview, where one or more members of the course team will see you. This will allow us to gain a good idea of your self–motivation and commitment. It will also give you an opportunity to ask questions about the course.

Structure
The Fashion Retail Diploma offers a unique one year intensive programme in retail with a fashion context. If you want to specialise in Fashion Retail, you’ll study the basic principles through the Core Units listed below. Your understanding will be further developed by experience gained in your work placements and by the Master Class programme that is unique to The Fashion Retail Academy.

Career Prospects or What next?
With a Level 3 Diploma you’ll be well placed to apply for various positions within Fashion Retail including Junior Management positions/Management Training Schemes, PR Assistant, Administrative Assistants for Buying or Merchandising and Junior Visual Merchandising Assistants. Successful students may also wish to continue their studies further at Higher Education in related subject areas.
