Applications for 2012/13 will commence on 3rd October 2011.

There are currently two ways to apply to join the FRA, either online or by completing a paper application.

Once your form is completed please send it by post to:

You may detach your reference form for completion at a later date, but please be aware that your application will not be valid until the reference has been received.

Application Process 

• Applications accepted from October onwards for Further Education full time courses
• Once received application processing can take several weeks
• You will receive an acknowledgement postcard advising we have received your application
• Interviews take place from January onwards
• You will receive a letter inviting you to interview, we try to give 2 weeks notice
• Those not meeting the course requirements will be contacted by phone or email
• Interview will take place at FRA
• Offer or rejection letter within 3 weeks
• You need to confirm acceptance of place within 14 days
• You will receive a confirmation postcard advising your confirmation of acceptance has been received
• You will receive in the post general information, such as term dates, fees & funding and travel information from May onwards
• You will receive a letter advising enrolment details closer to the commencement of the course
• Enrolment for Further Education courses is week commencing 5th September and you will be required to attend in person.
• Information about Induction will be given at enrolment
• Enrolment and induction for Higher Education courses takes place at the end of September.
