Student Support

Student welfare is extremely important to us at the Academy and we aim to support each student's learning experience and personal development so that you can develop to your maximum potential.

Whether you have a general enquiry, a specific problem or you just need to talk things through; Student Support Services is a great starting place and provides you with information, advice and support. You will get a friendly greeting and a sympathetic ear as well as the information and support you need.

It encompasses a wide range of services:

We work with a range of learning and physical difficulties and/or disabilities, from visual and hearing impairments to dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia. Support is offered for students who have long term medical conditions, mental health or mobility difficulties or any other disability. A learning support tutor can help in the classroom, either on a one-to-one or small group basis and works closely with your course tutors, to offer you the best support.

The services are here to be used and any contact is regarded as a positive action, which can often make a significant difference to your overall circumstances. By working with you and offering a comprehensive range of specialist information, advice, assistance and support, the FRA is able to help ensure you enjoy the student experience to the full.
