Introduction Buying & Range Planning

This course provides an introduction to the role of a fashion buyer within a central buying office, working for a multiple retailer or department store business.

The course includes:

• What a buyer does

• Customer profiling and understanding target markets

• Trend research and interpretation

• The process of the supply chain and its importance in fashion buying

• Range planning and retail business terminology including seasonal phasing

• Comparison shopping to understand pricing policies and competition on the high street

• Retail organisations

If you are considering a career in fashion retail and would like to understand the basics and improve your opportunities in the fashion retail job market, then Introduction to Buying & Range Planning is for you

The course will incorporate a combination of teaching and practical workshops.
