You could begin your career in an entry-level marketing role, such as a Marketing Assistant. In this position, you would support the marketing team with admin tasks, carry out market research and help deliver marketing campaigns.

Public Relations Assistant

You might also choose to work as a Public Relations Assistant, helping to support a brand's communications. This could involve organising events, managing communications and supporting activities that support a brand's image.

My time studying at the Fashion Retail Academy has definitely given me a great sense of direction in which area of fashion I want to progress into. - Lulu, Level 4 Fashion Retail with Marketing

Visual Merchandising

As a Visual Merchandiser, you could specialise in creating eye-catching displays that attract shoppers in store. Your role would include ensuring products are presented clearly, while keeping displays fresh by responding to seasonal trends and customer demand.

Retail Management

As a Retail Manager or Supervisor, you would support and train employees while ensuring excellent customer service and handle customer enquiries or complaints.

Start Your Own Business

On the Level 4 Retail with Marketing Diploma, you'll learn all about retail operations and store managers while exploring the internal and external factors that influence fashion business globally. You'll also study consumer profiling and data analysis, learning how brands use this information to increase sales and profits. These skills could even help you launch or run your own business!

Connecting You With Industry

At the FRA, we’re proud of our strong connections with the fashion and retail industry. With over 250 brand partners, students have the opportunity to connect with leading brands through Careers Fairs, masterclasses, live projects and industry talks.

Brands such as ASOS, Dr Martens, Marks & Spencer, The White Company, Oliver Bonas, Stella McCartney, Sweaty Betty, John Lewis, H&M, Skinnydip London and Harrods regularly work with our students.

Our Careers Fair brings these brands directly to campus, giving students the chance to network, showcase their skills and learn more about careers across the industry. It’s also a great opportunity to speak with hiring teams and build connections that can lead to work experience, internships and job opportunities.

Continuing With a Degree

Many of our Level 4 students choose to continue their studies with us at undergraduate level. You could progress onto a degree such as BA (Hons) Marketing & Communication for Fashion, where you can specialise further in marketing.

This degree will help you develop the technical and creative fashion marketing campaigns.

If you love the idea of creating engaging social media content, working on campaigns for your favourite brands or building a career in communications and PR, this could be your perfect next step to boost your skills further.

I chose to study Fashion Retail (with Marketing) as I was unsure of which area of industry I wanted to work in. I enjoyed it so much that I'm continuing my studies at FRA with a degree.
