Having left the Fashion Retail Academy five years ago, I was delighted to be invited to the 10 Year Anniversary and Awards Ceremony as an alumni student!
The event was held at Freemason’s Hall in Covent Garden. With its classic art-deco architecture, it was a perfect venue for the occasion. As soon as I arrived, you could feel the excitement in the air, with crowds of FRA graduates waiting outside with their friends and family.
The ceremony was a great insight into what has been achieved over the past 10 years at the Fashion Retail Academy. It was so inspiring to see the talent that has been produced at the Academy. Watching the videos, I felt proud to have been a part of it and to know that my peers are the future of the retail industry!
The evening was hosted by Vernon Kay. We also heard from the Founding Partners of the academy: Sir Philip Green of Arcadia, Marc Bolland of Marks &Spencer, Jason Tarry of F&F and Jane Shields of Next. Tess Daly and Ciara presented awards to past and present students. Paloma Faith also gave a surprise performance of her new single, Changing. The atmosphere was electric!
At the end of the ceremony, everyone gathered in the atrium for the drinks reception. Thank you to Showtime Photo Booth for providing their Classic Photo Booth at our special event. It was a great way to end a 10-year celebration of the fantastic Fashion Retail Academy!
