“How can the fashion industry become more sustainable?”
Our Level 2 Fashion Retail students recently tackled one of the biggest issues concerning the fashion industry. Second only to oil, fashion and textiles is one of the most polluting industries in the world. As part of their sustainability module, they collaborated with TRAID.
TRAID is a chain of charity shops dedicated to raising awareness of sustainability issues in the fashion industry, reducing clothing wastage and funding international development projects. Together, they launched the TRAID x FRA Pop-Up event.
Our students worked hard to collect donations and advertise their pop-up shop. During the week the project was live, they created an amazing experience for all their shoppers. Their aim was not only to collect donations for charity but also to inform their audience of the importance of sustainability, ethics and the environment within the fashion retail industry.
Across the 4 days of the Fashion Retail Academy X TRAID Pop-Up, the students raised a total of £908.08. We could not be prouder of their achievement! Congratulations Level 2 on your hard work.
We'd like to give a special thanks to:
