Meet the Fashion Retail Academy's Board of Governors.
The 11 members of our governing body all have many years of experience working in the fashion, retail or education industries.
Board of Governors
Lee has been Principal & CEO of the Fashion Retail Academy since October 2014. He has 14yearsofexperience in senior leadership roles and Principal positions in private and public education providers.
Kim has beenChair of the Fashion Retail Academy since its inception. She now runs her own consultancy business, after 17 years as Group HR Director at Arcadia.
Elizabeth isVice-Chair of the Fashion Retail Academy. She has previously been Deputy Rector Academic at the University of the Arts London and Dean of Academic Development at London College of Fashion.
James has worked at ASOS for over 10 years and is currently the brand’s Menswear Buying Director.
Laura has 30 years of experience in fashionretail and is currently Director of Lingerie at M&S.
Fiona has 20 years of experience working in Fashion Retail, at brands including Arcadia and ASOS. She is the FRA’s Planning & Trading Director for Retail.
Sally has 20 years of experience working in finance and fashion retail, at brands including Arcadia, Dorothy Perkins, BHS and Marks & Spencer. She now runs her own consultancy business and is a trustee for two other charities.
Susanna is CEO of the Laidlaw Foundation and Chair of the Laidlaw Schools Trust. She has over 15 years of experience in CEO, CMO and Chief Strategy Officer roles, including CEO of WGSN - the world’s leading trend forecaster.
Elaine has 16 years of experience in the education sector, working as a Vice-Principal and now running her own quality improvement consultancy business. She is also a contracted Ofsted Inspector.
Vanessa joined ASOS in 2007 and was influential in shaping the brand. She currently works as Womenswear & Menswear Design Director at ASOS. She is also a patron of the charity Fashion Awareness Direct (FAD).
Pauline was previously CEO of Creative & Cultural Skills. She was awarded a CBE at the 2014 Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to education and training in the cultural sector.
