FRA elects new Student President
This academic year has seen a few new additions to the Fashion Retail Academy. As well as upgrades to our equipment for the lecture theatre and atrium we now have a new Student Services department with Dan Oakley, our new Student Services manager and Marc Brammer, our new Student Services assistant. The team can provide a range of help and support while you are studying at the FRA.
The department has an informative resource library with leaflets and guides on a variety of topics from careers and UCAS applications to have a balanced diet, mental health and social issues.
A confidential counselling service is also available for anyone who feels they may need some extra emotional support or to talk to someone in a safe and non-judgemental environment.
Along with our new department comes an additional new role. We recently held elections for our new student president. Our students were required to create a campaign and explain why they thought they should be elected into the role. They also held an exciting debate in the lecture theatre and through an anonymous voting system, our new student president Calypso Barnum-Bobb was announced! Congratulations Calypso!
